New for 2020, Herbies! is a garden-based activity for 3-7 year-olds where children get to tour the arable side of our farm, spend some time in our mini-forest, plant fruit/vegetables in our market garden, and take part in a themed craft session.

As with all activities for under-8’s at Wellgate Community Farm, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Booking is required and spaces are limited to ensure a good experience.

The story of Herbies!

Herbies! was inspired by 5-year-old Ivy, who wants to save the world and show us all that we can do more to help look after the plants, animals, and our environment by growing fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers and making spaces for bees and butterflies to thrive.

Ivy attended the first ever Herbies! and said it was “AWWWWWWWESOOOOOOOME!”
