Our mobile farm can be booked out, with a member of staff and volunteer(s), to visit schools & nurseries, care homes, and public events.

Advantages of Wellgate’s Mobile Farm

Easier to organise than a school-trip – There are no worries about transport or permission forms etc. all children remain on site and everyone can participate. We supply the necessary risk assessments and clean up afterwards.

Supports learning objectives – Our new education officer is working with teachers to provide a selection of lesson plans and additional material to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.

Flexible locations – Our mobile farm has been set up in playgrounds, school fields, nursery, care home, and even church gardens. All we need is a safe space to operate in, access for the animals and somewhere to park our horsebox. Access to water and hand-washing facilities with soap and water are preferred but we have portable equipment if needed.
