Farm Visits

We welcome groups of children from nursery age upwards for fully interactive and enjoyable educational visits to our Farm.

We cover the Early Years and Key Stage one and two (KS1/KS2) national curriculum relating to “animals and the environment” and can tailor your visit to tie in with topics or themes that are being covered. We provide a fully interactive tour of the farm and the group will get to meet and stroke many of the animals. They also get to use our classroom or picnic area to stay and have a snack or lunch.

Groups also get to choose an additional activity…

Grooming and Feeding – Children will get to groom some of our animals and take part in feeding-time.

Pond Dipping – Having a look in our nature ponds, seeing who lives there and how they fit into the ecosystem of our farm and gardens.

Planting – Children get to plant fruit/vegetable seeds and learn how we look after the produce on our allotment. The group will get to take home and grow seeds they have planted.

Bug Hunt – Have a look at the wonderful creatures that reside in our allotment and gardens, find out their roles in nature and about the importance of biodiversity and how our actions can affect it.
