Our home borough support us with funding and facilities to provide a farm that is free and open to the community.

Jack Petchey Foundation

Membership in the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards scheme helps us to recognise and celebrate the achievements of young people who attend the farm. The Jack Petchey Foundation has also awarded us funding for a youth holiday volunteering project in 2020.

The London Community Foundation

The London Community Foundation contributes to our core costs to enable us to provide interactive on-site programmes every day.

National Lottery Community Fund

Funded our 2019 Summer Events programme, including our Open Day in June, The Wellgate Games, Summer Animal Show, Animal Encounters Day, and enabled our young people and animals to attend the Barking and Dagenham Youth Parade.

Power to Change

Power to Change, the organisation set up to grow and support community businesses in England, made funding available from the National Lottery to help us continue operations during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Essex Youth Trust

Subsidises our Young Farmers programme, helping to keep costs down to a reasonable level.

North Meets South

The North Meets South “Big Local” support us with set up costs for the Marks Gate Allotment site and to run some community gardening workshops on the new site.

Marsh Christian Trust

The Marsh Christian Trust support us by making a contribution towards the running costs of the farm.

Greggs Foundation

The Greggs Foundation have funded a project to revamp a disused area of the farm into a new edible garden.
