Safeguarding
We have a special duty of care to all the young people and supported adults who use our farm. If you have a worry, or see something that concerns you such as:-
- bullying
- behaviour that makes you feel uncomfortable or upset
- inappropriate conduct
- a concern about your or someone’s welfare
Then you can tell us about it. You can report any issue to whichever staff member at the farm you feel most comfortable talking to, big or small. If you’re not sure who to speak to, you should contact one of our safeguarding leads.
- Tara Chandler, Operations Manager (tara@wellgatefarm.org)
- Donna Gurling, Hands On Coordinator (donna@wellgatefarm.org)
What happens if I report something?
We will listen to everything you have to say and make some notes which we will keep confidential.
If we have to speak to others we won’t discuss details of who has reported what. We cannot promise to keep every secret, for example if someone is being hurt or involved in a crime then we would have to let people know.
