Update regarding our position with Covid-19.

Wellgate Community Farm has now been closed since late March. Wellgate will continue to be closed to all visitors and non-essential volunteers for the foreseeable future. Some Zoos and other open spaces will be starting to reopen, but for operational reasons Wellgate is unable to at this time.

Wellgate has been visible throughout this pandemic with daily social media posts on Instagram and Facebook, Wellgate Walks, and has remained in communication with all of our staff, volunteers, and Young Farmers amongst other things.

When the trustees feel it is safe to ease restrictions we will be in contact with individuals and groups regarding a safe and welcome return including visitors via social media.

Although Wellgate will remain closed to all visitors we are in the process of setting up the “cluck and collect” service for eggs, manure and other farm produce. Something we hope we will gain support with and again still keep links with the community while helping us with income.
